VINTAGE "HARVEST" COVERED SOUP TUREEN & LADLE, JOHN B. TAYLOR POTTERY, LOUISVILLE, 1950s - 1960s

Fantastic vintage covered soup tureen and ladle in the Harvest pattern by John B. Taylor Pottery, Louisville, Kentucky, 1950s–1960s, glazed stoneware featuring a hand-painted motif of fruit and leaves, the notched lid with pear-shaped finial, the overall dimensions (including lid) approx. 9-1/2" in diameter by 6" tall, the ladle approx. 10" long overall, the underside marked "John B. Taylor Ceramics."

A handsome and early example of this popular Taylor form and pattern, preceding the company's name change in 1970.

Notes: Some faint, fine crazing to bottom portion of body, otherwise fine, attractive condition, with no cracks or chips
