Item Description

Vintage sewing caddy, made by the Domart Company, Glenside, Pennsylvania, circa 1930s, bakelite or similar early plastic with imitation burlwood finish in reddish brown, the circular form with slightly domed lid and removable rotating spool tray, 9-1/2" in diameter by 3-1/4" tall overall, with manufacturer's mark on interior of lid.

A striking and still-functional example with dedicated compartments for spools and a central area for needles, thimbles, notions, etc. Perfect for the sewer or as an organizer for crafts such as beading, jewelry making, painting, etc.

CONDITION: Mild surface wear (a bit of minor roughness to edges of lid, noted for strict accuracy), otherwise fine condition, with no cracks, breaks, or losses.
