VERY LARGE SIGNED STUDIO POTTERY BOWL BY GARY PLETSCH, PITTSBURGH

Very large studio pottery bowl by Gary Pletsch, Pittsburgh, the wheel-thrown gray-tan stoneware body of flaring form with small circular foot, glazed in varying mottled tones of black and gray, approx. 6-1/2" tall by 14-5/8" in diameter at the rim, the underside with Pletsch's incised cipher and original label.

A particularly large and striking example from this well-respected and widely exhibited contemporary ceramic artist (1948–2021), who began his career as an actor and model before devoting himself to pottery in 1986.

CONDITION: In excellent condition, with no cracks, chips, or crazing.
