Scarce and terrific antique coffee percolator on stand, probably European, 19th century, the body of brass in cylindrical form with domed lid with porcelain knob, the spout with a similar knob, swivel-mounted on an arch-shaped set into a circular porcelain base, tinned interior, retaining the original pump with strainers, the overall height approx. 13-3/4" tall, the diameter of the base approx. 7-1/2", the spout marked "3/4," the underside of the base impressed "2."
A distinctive example of an early type of coffee maker now seldom seen.
CONDITION: Tarnishing and light surface wear (a few minor dents); lacking spirit burner and clip that originally secured lid (completely unnecessary for use); some small, superficial rust spots to interior; otherwise very good, attractive condition overall, and, with some minor rehabilitation, fully usable.
