Item Description

Two vintage limited edition American prints, mid-20th century, including: 1) Marcia Russell, "The Viking" (artist's proof), three-color linocut on cream laid paper, signed in pencil in the lower margin "A[rtist's] P[roof], The Viking, Marcia Russell," image size 11-3/8" x 7-5/8"; sheet size 17-1/4" x 11-1/2"; and 2) Isabelle Reynolds, "Newagen, Maine," stone lithograph on paper, titled, numbered, and signed in pencil in the lower margin "Newagen, Maine, Ed. 25, Isabelle Reynolds, Imp.," image size 11" x 8-1/2"; sheet size 17" x 11".

Russell was active in the Keene, New Hampshire area; Reynolds' lithographs were exhibited at Doll & Richards Gallery in Boston in 1962.

Notes: CONDITION: Russell slightly lightstruck (easily concealed by a new mat) and some faint spotting and mounting tape to top edge of sheet (well away from image), otherwise near fine, attractive condition, with deep, saturated colors; Reynolds very faintly light struck (evident only from looking under mat); piece of mounting tape to top edge of sheet (well away from image), otherwise fine, clean condition overall.
