Item Description

Two pieces of North Carolina pottery, including: 1) Vintage vase by Phillips Hewett, Sanford, North Carolina, 1986, the reddish clay body of ovoid form with flaring lip, the exterior decorated in an ivory glaze, the shoulder with stylized leafy vine border and horizontal bands in light blue and dusty rose, 8" tall, the underside incised "Phillips Hewett, Sanford, N.C., 1986," with three-letter monogram; 2) Honey or condiment server by Owens Pottery, Seagrove, North Carolina, the wheel-thrown red clay body of of elongated ovoid shape with flaring rim, notched lid, finished in the vibrant signature red glaze, 5-3/4" tall, the underside with circular stamp reading "Owens Pottery, Original, Seagrove, NC."



Notes: CONDITION: Vase with a single tiny glaze flake to rim (not affecting body), otherwise fine, attractive condition.
