THREE VINTAGE UNION PACIFIC RAILROAD "WINGED STREAMLINER" OVAL PLATES, CIRCA 1940s - 1950s

Lot of three scarce oval platters or plates in the Winged Streamliner pattern made for the Union Pacific Railroad by Scammell's Trenton China, 1940s–1950s, heavy restaurant ware with rolled rim, the stylized logo in underglaze slate blue and red, the rim with gilt band, approx. 9-5/8" x 7-5/8", marked "Scammell's Trenton China, Made in America."

Quite uncommon in this form.

Notes: CONDITION: Moderate wear from normal use (utensil marks and rubs with scattered small losses to glaze; scattered wear to gilt); otherwise very good condition overall, with no cracks or chips.
