SCARCE VINTAGE COMPOTE IN THE NATURE'S GARDEN PATTERN DESIGNED BY MICHAEL LAX FOR MIKASA, 1974 - 1976

Very scarce compote in the Nature's Garden pattern, the form designed by Michael Lax, manufactured by Mikasa, Japan, 1974–76, bone china in straight-sided flaring form with open bottom and dished top, decorated with lily of the valley flowers, 4" tall by 9-3/4" in diameter, marked "Mikasa Nature's Garden, Shape Designed by Michael Lax, Bone China A8303/501, Bowl Compote, Naruma Japan."

One of the scarcest pieces from this distinctive, short-lived pattern.

Notes: CONDITION: In excellent, perfectly preserved condition, with no cracks, chips, crazing, staining, or loss to design.
