Scarce and terrific antique advertising stein or tankard for the Murray Co. Soda Water Flavors [Boston, Massachusetts], probably made in Germany, circa 1900s–1910s, the buff clay body deeply molded with two facing seated figures, each holding a cup beneath a running tap or spigot, both benches marked "The Murray Sodawater Flavors," the handle flanked by stylized flowers in the Art Nouveau taste, recessed bottom, approx. 6-1/4" tall (.3 liter capacity).

A seldom-seen example of soda-related advertising.

Notes: CONDITION: Fine crazing, otherwise fine, attractive condition, with no cracks or chips.
