Fine original vintage silver gelatin photo of the sculpture "Dancer and Gazelles" by Paul Manship, the negative bearing a credit from the Detroit Publishing Co., circa 1920s, sight size 8-1/4" x 8-3/4", presented under glass in the original wooden frame with intact dust seal measuring 9-5/8" x 9" overall.
Manship (1885–1966) produced this model in 1916; in the following year he was awarded the National Academy prize for best young sculptor. Casts of this work are in the collections of the Smithsonian American Art Museum, Metropolitan Museum of Art, Art Institute of Chicago, National Gallery of Art, Detroit Institute of Arts, Toledo Museum of Art, RISD Museum, and other major institutions.
