Item Description

Larry Webster (American, 1930–2007): "Mountain Manor," limited edition etching and drypoint on heavy handmade cream wove paper, circa 1970s, numbered, titled, and signed in pencil beneath the plate "2/100, Mountain Manor, Larry Webster," plate size 8" x 6", matted and framed in brass-finished aluminum (no glass) to an overall size of 17-1/2" x 14"

Webster, a Massachusetts native and longtime resident of Topsfield, studied at the Massachusetts College of Art. Closely associated with the art colony in Rockport, Webster was best known for his watercolors of New England landscape. His distinctions included prizes from the American Watercolor Society and the National Academy of Design, and he was a member of the Allied Artists of America, American Watercolor Society, Boston Watercolor Society, Rockport Art Association, and Guild of Boston Artists.



Notes: CONDITION: In fresh, bright, excellent condition, with no staining, toning, fading, or mat burn (not examined outside frame).
