FOUR VINTAGE OBJECTS OF CRYPTOMERIA/CEDAR WOOD IN THE STYLE OF WITCO, INCLUDING THREE ANIMALS AND A VASE

Four vintage objects made from cryptomeria or cedar wood, circa 1960s, including carved animal figures of a seal, swallow or similar bird on base, and another crested bird on base (evidently a cardinal or blue jay). the tallest 4-3/8"; and a turned vase in ovoid form with thick neck and flaring rim, removable plastic insert for water, 5-3/4" tall by 2-3/4" in diameter at the rim

A terrific group with the characteristic distinctive graining typical of such well-known period makers as Nils Stranden, Gerd Untermann, and Witco.

CONDITION: Swallow with a small, unobtrusive sliver-like loss to one tail feather and a few small gouges to top of head; otherwise very good to fine overall.
