Paul Wood (American, 1897–1964): "En arrêt" [Stopped] (Hunting Scene English Setter and Rabbit), original color etching and aquatint on heavy cream laid paper printed by the Paris Etching Society, New York, circa 1935, titled in pencil at lower left and signed at lower right "Paul Wood"; publisher identification in the matrix at upper and lower left, plate size approx. 14-1/4" x 10-1/2", sheet size 15-7/8" x 11-1/2".
A characteristic image from this Massachusetts-born artist, who studied at the Springfield (Massachusetts) School of Fine Arts and Art Students League in New York and became best known for his portrayals of dogs.
CONDITION: Tape remnants to edges of reverse (invisible from front); otherwise fine, attractive, beautifully preserved condition, with strong, unfaded colors.
