ANTIQUE WOODEN MARQUETRY BOX IN THE ARTS & CRAFTS TASTE, CIRCA 1910s - 1920s

Handsome handmade antique box in the Arts & Crafts taste, circa 1910s–1920s, the body of mahogany, the lid with a marquetry scene featuring a steamboat on a lake with shore and trees, brass hinges, the overall dimensions approx. 10-1/4" x 8-3/8" x 3-1/2".

An unusual example with a distinctive stylized design.

CONDITION: Light surface wear; a few of the tiny hinge screws replaced; old, discreet glue repair to back panel, otherwise very good, attractive condition overall, with rich, pleasing undisturbed patina.
