Handsome antique silverplate hot water kettle or teapot on stand, made by Gorham, 1912, the kettle handle with bone spacers, resting on a circular stand with three scrolled feet and spirit burner, the kettle 1-1/2" pint capacity, the overall height approx. 9-1/4", the side of the kettle with ornate engraved monogram (NMH or NHM) all three pieces with the "G.M. Co." anchor mark, the kettle and stand with date cipher (fish) for 1912, the burner with cipher (smoking pipe) for 1911.
A handsome example of unusual diminutive size, with sleek, spare lines recalling the forward-looking designs of Christopher Dresser.
Notes: Mild surface wear and tarnishing, and burner possibly missing a handle (not affecting operation), otherwise fine, attractive condition, with clean interior and no losses to plating
