"Vue du Palais Royal de Hampton Court at 15 Milles de Londres" [View of the Royal Palace at Hampton Court 15 Miles Outside London], original hand-colored copperplate engraving on cream wove paper published by Chereau, Paris, 1760s–1770s, plate size 14-3/4" x 10-1/2", sheet size 18-1/2" x 12-1/2", attractively vintage framed under glass to an overall size of 19-1/2" x 13-3/4".

Possibly a trial proof, prior to publisher's credit. The print was originally intended to be viewed with a special device incorporating a lens and mirror to enhance the exaggerated sense of perspective evident in the composition.

Notes: A touch of subtle soiling and wrinkling to margins, otherwise fine, clean, attractive condition (not examined outside frame)
