Antique pair of architectural fence or railing finials, American, 19th–early 20th century, cast iron with early silver paint, each bulbous threaded base with two side apertures, topped by a large ball, the overall dimensions 6-1/2" x 4" x 3-1/2".

A terrific and hefty pair with plenty of sculptural character, perfect for creative repurposing as bookends, garden ornaments, etc.
