Victorian Sterling Rouge/powder Chatelaine Ring

Victorian Sterling Rouge/powder Chatelaine Ring

Winning Bid
$41.00
Item #35953
Lot #217 of 332
Item Description

This stunning piece is a rouge/powder box from the Victorian Era. This was likely designed for a woman so that she could wear the ring around her finger and keep the box discreet, even tucked into her glove. It could have also been attached to a ring finger chatelaine to hold something important. Along the edge there is beautiful etching and throughout the center some very faint pin-striping. In the center are the initials “A.M.D”. This box opens and closes with ease. Every piece from the ring to the box is sterling silver which is marked and has also been tested. This piece is really a beauty and rare to come by. It would make an excellent addition to many different collections.
21 g
Box is Approx 2” x 1.25”
Chain 3.5”
The ring fits about an 8.5/9 ring size
